About
FlatLyne is the business operating this website, flatlyne.com. It sells one thing: monitoring that tells you when a scheduled job doesn't run.
What it does
Your cron job, backup script or queue worker requests a URL like https://api.flatlyne.com/<token> each time it finishes. If that ping doesn't arrive on time, FlatLyne alerts you by email, Slack, PagerDuty or webhook.
Most monitoring watches for things that happen: an error, a slow request, a server that stops answering. A job that never starts does none of those. It fails quietly, and you usually find out when you need its output. FlatLyne watches for the ping that didn't come.
Why it's called FlatLyne
A heart monitor draws a line that jumps with each beat. When the beats stop, the line goes flat. A job that stops pinging is a heartbeat that stopped, and FlatLyne is the monitor watching for it. That's why this site is drawn on ECG chart paper.
How it's paid for
There's a free plan for up to 10 checks. Pro is $12 a month. Payments go through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. See pricing for what each plan includes.
Security
