Terms of Service
Last updated 3 October 2026
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and FlatLyne Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“FlatLyne”, “we” or “us”), which runs the website at www.flatlyne.com and the API at api.flatlyne.com (together, the “service”).
By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you use FlatLyne for a company, you accept them for that company and confirm you can bind it. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
Two other documents also apply. The Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and why. The Refund Policy explains when you can get money back.
The service
FlatLyne watches scheduled jobs. Each check has a ping URL, such as https://api.flatlyne.com/<token>. Your job calls that URL when it runs. If a ping is late, we send an alert to the channels you set up, such as email, Slack, PagerDuty or a webhook.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be able to form a binding contract where you live.
- You sign in with a Google account. We don’t use passwords, so keeping that Google account secure is your job.
- Give us accurate information, and keep it up to date.
- You’re responsible for everything done through your account, your projects and your credentials. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone has used them without permission.
Projects, teammates and credentials
A project is how you share work. Each project has one owner, who can invite members by email. The owner is responsible for who has access and for how members use the project.
Ping URLs and API keys are secrets. An API key gives member access to one project. Anyone who holds a ping URL or key can use it, so store them safely and replace them if they leak.
Acceptable use
Don’t use FlatLyne to:
- break the law or help someone else break it;
- send spam, or send alerts to people who haven’t agreed to get them;
- attack, probe or overload the service, or our other users;
- get around plan limits, rate limits or access controls;
- reach systems or data you aren’t allowed to reach, including through webhooks;
- upload malware, or content that infringes someone else’s rights;
- resell or copy the service without our written permission.
Don’t put passwords, tokens or personal data in check names or ping bodies. FlatLyne is not built for life-safety or emergency alerting, so don’t rely on it for that.
Your data
Your checks, ping data and settings belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and send them only as needed to run the service for you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
Plans and billing
- Free costs $0, includes 10 checks and has no time limit.
- Pro costs $12 a month or $108 a year. It’s billed in advance and renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Business is priced by agreement. Contact us to set it up.
The current limits of each plan are on the pricing page. Limits apply to the project owner and add up across every project they own.
Dodo Payments is our merchant of record. Dodo is the seller of record for each payment and handles checkout, so its own buyer terms also apply to your payment. Your card details go to Dodo and never reach our servers.
If a payment fails and isn’t resolved, your subscription may end, and your account goes back to Free as described below.
Price changes
We may change prices for new customers at any time. If you subscribe to Pro now, you keep your price for as long as you stay subscribed. If we ever need to change the price of an existing subscription, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies, and the change takes effect from your next billing period. You can cancel before then.
Cancelling and downgrading
Cancel at any time from the billing page in the dashboard, using Manage subscription. That opens Dodo’s customer portal, where the cancellation happens.
When the subscription ends, your account goes back to Free and the checks you own are paused. Nothing is deleted. You can turn checks back on up to the Free limits.
Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
No uptime guarantee
FlatLyne is a small, new service. There is no service level agreement. Alerts are best-effort. Pings or alerts can be late or missing because of outages, maintenance, network problems or failures at email, Slack, PagerDuty or other providers we depend on.
Don’t make FlatLyne the only way you would find out that something important has failed.
Changes to the service
We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you pay for, we’ll tell you ahead of time where we reasonably can.
Third-party services
The service works with services we don’t control, such as Google sign-in, Dodo Payments, Slack and PagerDuty. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we aren’t responsible for them.
Our intellectual property
We own the service, its code, design and the FlatLyne name and logo. These terms let you use the service. They don’t give you any other rights in it.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using FlatLyne at any time. To close your account, delete it from account settings in the dashboard. Deleting your account cancels any Pro subscription straight away.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, don’t pay, or put the service or other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. We may also stop offering the service. If we do, we’ll give you reasonable notice.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms. That includes any promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, data or business, including losses from a late or missed alert;
- our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid for FlatLyne in the 12 months before the claim. On the Free plan, that amount is zero.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as liability for fraud.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used the service or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For a significant change, we’ll email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights the law of your home country gives you that can’t be waived by contract.
General
- These terms, with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between us.
- If one part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
- You can’t transfer these terms to someone else without our agreement.
